About Jo Heuff BSc (Hons) PGDip AM
Jo Heuff has grown-up with a variety of pets and
always wanted to work with animals even from a very young age. Jo graduated from Hartpury college in 2002 with an honours
degree in Equine Science and continued her training at the McTimoney College, graduating with a post graduate diploma in McTimoney
Animal Manipulation. Jo also holds a certificate in Merishia Animal Massage and is experienced in natural and classical
horsemanship. Whilst studying for her McTimoney qualifications, Jo worked as a Stable Yard Manager for six years looking
after and training hunters, eventers, point to pointers, broodmares and youngstock including backing and breaking-in.
It was while working on a yard with these horses that Jo realised the importance of regular physiotherapy to help maintain
optimum performance, health and soundness.
Jo enjoys competing and hunting her horses: an elementary level dressage horse, an ex-racehorse that is being re-trained as an eventer and a point to point racehorse, all of which she trains and schools herself. Aside from horses Jo has three dogs which have worked as gundogs and competed in obedience, agility and working tests. All of Jo's animals enjoy their regular McTimoney treatments!! When she isn't competing or
working Jo attends many seminars, lectures and training courses to keep up to date with any new developments/techniques that
will ensure she always provides the best treatment possible for her patients. |
