Frequently Asked Questions
- Do I need the vet
to visit before a treatment?
No - Usually veterinary consent can be granted over the telephone.
McTimoney treatment is very safe. Prior to any treatment the Jo
will take a full history about your animal to ensure that there are no reasons why it should not receive treatment. If Jo
suspects a problem, which requires further investigation, then she will refer you to your vet before giving any treatment.
- Does
my animal need to be anaesthetised to have treatment?
No. The treatment involves no anaesthetic
and requires no drugs to be administered. Jo will only use her hands to make adjustments to the animal's musculoskeletal
system and some massage tools.
- Will the treatment be covered by my pet insurance?
Most major insurance companies now
cover Mctimoney treatment for your animal. However, it is best to phone up your insurance company and check if you are unsure.
- Will my animal like the treatment?
Most animals readily accept and enjoy the treatment.
